DIRT'S MONSTER HALF MILE READY TO RUMBLE ON SATURDAY, APRIL 3

IMPERIAL PA --- The 2004 racing season is ready to begin at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday evening, April 3 at 7:00pm.  The Late Models, Limited Late Models, E-Mods, Pure Stocks and Amateur Stocks will be in action each week on Dirt's Monster Half Mile.

In addition to the five division "Action Events" there are several specials planned for the upcoming season.  The popular Late Model "Twin 20's"  will entertain and thrill the fans three times with their first special set for April 24.  May 15 and June 12 are inked in for the other "Twin 20's" events, and  all other divisions will be in action on those nights as well.  More specials include the Late Model "Penn National" on  July 10, the Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Nick Garin Memorial for Late Models on August 14, and of course the season ending "Pittsburgher 100" special event weekend on September 16-19.  Racing topless (without roofs)  was met with approval from drivers and fans alike, so by request, "Topless Tuesday" returns for two Tuesday visits in 2004, June 22 and July 27.

The Pittsburgh Circle Track Club Senior Series will be in competition at PPMS on May 22.  A demo derby following the night's racing action will be added to the program on May 29, June 26, July 31, and August 28.  The on-track Driver Autograph Night is scheduled for

July 3, which is also the Dan Burns Memorial and qualifier for SMODA's Les Myers Memorial Race for E-Mods.  The Jook George Memorial Fall Classic for the Limited Late Models is included in the Action Event program on August 28, and the well-received "Pure Stock 20" will take place on August 7.  The September 4th Action Event will include bike races for the kids.

Gates open at 5pm with racing at 7pm.  Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway is located at the Noblestown Exit of Route 22 West, just minutes from Downtown Pittsburgh, Weirton WV or Steubenville OH.  For additional information or a complete schedule of events at PPMS, please visit our web site at www.ppms.com, or you can call the business office during the week at 724-853-7223.
