JUNE 21 "TOPLESS TUESDAY" LATE MODEL SPECIAL AT PPMS BECOMES 35-LAP, $2000 TO WIN EVENT !!!

PITTSBURGH, PA (May 12, 2005) - For the third straight year, "Topless Tuesday" returns to Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway's racing schedule as an added attraction in mid-June.  This year, the race, slated for Tuesday, June 21,  will be even more inviting to the Late Model drivers as they remove their roofs and race topless on Dirt's Monster Half Mile for 35 laps, instead of the previous 25 lappers.  The payday for the winner of the popular event will be $2000.  Keeping it even more "fan friendly", drivers will draw for heat race starting positions instead of running time trials.   Previous topless events saw Crescent Township's Jim Zarin win both times.  A new face will most likely grace victory lane in 2005, as past winner Zarin, is not racing this season unless sponsorship or a ride enters the picture for him.  The Limited Late Models will be competing "topless" as well.  Also on the Tuesday racing card will be the E-Modifieds, Pure Stocks and Amateur Stocks, and points will be awarded in all divisions.  Gates open for "Topless Tuesday" at 5:00pm with racing at 7:00pm.  More information about racing at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway can be obtained by visiting our web site at http://www.ppms.com/, or you can call the Pittsburgh business office at 412-279-7223.
