How does parking work?

All spectators park FREE at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway events in the large, mostly flat grass field outside our facility. Please Note: Leased events on speedway grounds may choose to charge for parking. PPMS DOES NOT collect any monetary value from those events. Light tailgating and casual gatherings before and after events are generally allowed, but we reserve the right to ask you to disperse if issues arise.

We strongly recommend rolling up your windows completely and closing convertible tops before races start. Motorcycle riders should bring a kickstand pad and may wish to bring a cover.

What is your seating like?

All of our seating is wooden, open, bleacher-style grandstands. You may wish to bring a towel, blanket, seat cushion, or stadium seat for comfort. Patrons may choose to utilize our Drive In Parking area by turn one. This comes at an additional cost to your admission ticket(s) and space is limited.

What is your ADA accessibility?

Much of our facility can be accessed by people with mobility impairments. The first row of our main grandstands is accessible by ramp. Wheelchair users or persons unable to climb stairs may also choose to sit in front of the grandstands or in our lawn chair seating area near Turn 1. In some cases, persons with disabilities may also be allowed to park their cars in this area. Our restrooms, concession stand, gift shop, and Real Nutz Vodka Club are all located at ground level. Most walkways consist of hard dirt, thinly layered pea gravel, grass, or a mixture of these elements.

For persons sensitive to loud noises, we strongly recommend wearing earplugs or safety ear muffs. These items, alongside protective eye wear, are available for sale at our gift shop as supplies last.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or requests for additional accommodations.

Ticket FAQ's

Do I need to buy tickets in advance?

Purchasing tickets in advance is always recommended to guarantee yourself a seat, especially for larger events like the Monsters N Megas Monster Truck Experience and the Pittsburgher 100 Weekend. Tickets are generally available at the ticket booth up until the start of each event.

If you are looking to utilize our turn 1 drive-in parking, we strongly recommend purchasing these tickets online and in advance due to limited availability and popularity. Please proceed further down for additional information regarding drive in parking.

Do I need to buy a ticket for my child?

Yes, you will still need to purchase a ticket for your child, even if they are admitted for free due to their age. Free tickets for kids that are available on the website are not subject to a processing fee. Free kids tickets are also available the day of the event at the ticket booth.

We offer free grandstand admission for kids 5 and under at all racing events. We also offer free grandstand admission for kids 2 and under for the Monsters N Megas Monster Truck Experience.

Do you offer group rates?

We do! For additional information, please visit ppms.com/freeadmission.

My event is canceled. What do I do with my ticket?

If the event is canceled before we open our gates, or before the event begins, individuals who purchased tickets in advance will be refunded in full. Refunds should process within 7-10 business days depending on your respective bank. Rain checks will not be distributed unless the event has already begun.

What is your rain check policy?

If heat races are not completed, your ticket stub will be honored at face value for the remainder of the season. No cash refunds. If all heat races are completed, the show is considered complete and no rain checks will be distributed. Any remaining feature events will be rescheduled for future dates.

Drive In Parking FAQ's

How do I purchase a Drive In Parking spot?

There are 20 spots available each event for drive in parking. In order to reserve your spot, you will need to purchase a ticket, which are available at ppms.com/tickets or by selecting the tickets tab on the home page. Simply select which event you are interested in attending and be sure to purchase the Drive In Parking ticket in addition to purchasing a ticket for each person who is attending the event.

If you forget to purchase your general admission tickets with your Drive In Parking, don't sweat! You can purchase them at our ticket booth upon arrival and before you proceed to a Drive In Parking spot.

What do I do when I arrive?

Upon arrival to the speedway, drive your vehicle to the double swinging gate located behind the main grandstands. One of our team members will be there to check your vehicle and guests in. The team member will then instruct you where to park.

You are able to leave easily at anytime in case of emergencies. The double swinging gate that you drove through upon arrival will remain open throughout each event.
