Imperial, PA (July 27, 2016) Following last Saturday’s rain out, racing action continues at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway with the running of the Third Annual Falconi’s Moon Township Automotive “Sprint Monster.”  The Saturday, July 30 event will see Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions winged 410 sprint cars visiting as a part of the “I-79 Summer Shootout.”  The PPMS event will be sandwiched between an event at Eriez Speedway near Erie, PA on Friday night, and a Sunday event at Tri-City Raceway Park near Franklin, PA.  A large field of competitors are expected as they will not only be battling for the winner’s share of $5,000 each night, but the weekend also has a $3,000 point fund sponsored by Classic Ink USA Screenprinting and Embroidery.

Chad Kemenah is the current Series point leader, with Dale Blaney in second place. Blaney was the most recent All Star Sprint winner at PPMS, on August 2, 2015, and has three career victories at the track.  Sheldon Haudenschild is currently third in points.  Pittsburgh’s own Danny Holtgraver is currently fourth in Series points, and is looking forward to racing in front of his hometown crowd, especially at a speedway where he leads active drivers with five feature wins.  Cap Henry is fifth in current Series points, with Kraig Kinser, T.J. They will also have a point fund attached to their weekend, totaling $2,500, sponsored by Hovis Auto and Truck Supply.  With this event being a point race towards the Precise Racing Products RUSH Pro Late Models, the division’s tight point race will continue.  Daryl Charlier leads the standings by a scant six points, with Ben Policz and Justin Lamb tied for second in the standings.  John Mollick, the division’s leading winner this season with three, is just two points behind.

At PPMS, rounding out the three division racing program on Saturday night will be a point race for the Sunoco Race Fuels Sportsman. It will be the final tune-up race before the “Cruise America PENNational” the following Saturday.  Dave McManus is the current point leader by 18 points over Ricky Stigerwald, with Nick Kocuba just one point behind.
