Econo Mod Classic Coming To PPMS
The action at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway continues tonight with the second night of the TRAXXAS Monster Truck Destruction Tour, in place of the weekly racing program.
Racing returns to the oval on Saturday, September 16, as highlighting the action on the track will be the first ever visit by the Econo Mod division for the running of the Inaugural “Econo Mod Classic.” Similar to the former E-Mod class that used to compete at the track, this class runs engines that are powered by two barrel carburetors. In addition, certain cars that run with AMRA will be allowed, specifically those powered by 602 crate engines. The 20 lap event will have lap money paid to each lap leader, and will pay $1000 to the winner, thanks to the many sponsors that have been collected by event organizers Josh Christopher and Brian Huchko.
