RUSH Sprints up next at ppms

Join us at PPMS this Saturday, September 21, for an action event featuring the RUSH Sprint Car Series who are making their next to the last appearance of the season at Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile. The RUSH Sprint Car Series is in its second season of operation. Chad Ruhlman (87R), from Bemus Point, New York, has simply dominated the series at PPMS. Ruhlman (87R) has won just about every RUSH Sprint car feature held at PPMS in the past two seasons when he has been in attendance. But, Zach Morrow (27M), from Gibsonia, is leading the points race with 490 points. Brian Hartzell (69), from Oil City, is 37 points behind Morrow (27M) and is in second place with 453 points. Matt Sherlock iii (55), from Beaver Falls, is in third place with 449 points, while Bryan Woodhall (8), from Apollo, is in fourth place with 385 points, and Jeremy Weaver (41), from Stoneboro, is in fifth place with 379 points. Ruhlman (87R) is in ninth place with 300 points due to limited appearances, but when he does race at PPMS, he wins. 

As well as, the RUSH Sprint Car Series, PPMS will also be featuring the Diehl Automotive RUSH Late Model Dirt Series, the PPMS Pro Stocks, the Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stocks, the Four Cylinders, and the Young Guns. Ben Policz (14B), from Rices Landing, has a full 114 point lead over the field in the Diehl Automotive RUSH Late Model Dirt Series. Policz (14B) has 1,361 points, while Christian Schneider (1ST), from Warren, Ohio, has been in second place most of the season. Schneider (1ST) currently has 1,247 points. Fresh off a win last Saturday, John Mollick (60M), from Toronto, Ohio, is in third place with 1,238 points, only nine points out of second place. Nico Dabecco (F1), from Verona, is in fourth place with 1,147 points, and Paul “Jabo” Jablonski (3J), from Carnegie, rounds out the top five with 1,057 points. 

Danny Rich (67X), from Imperial, has five total wins on the season in the PPMS Pro Stock division. Despite a DNF last week due to a crash, Rich (67X) is in first place with 1,365 points. Mike Harris (18), from Bridgeville, is in second place with 1,310 points. Harris (18) was involved in the same crash last week that took out Rich (67X). A.J. Poljak (36), from Baldwin, is in third place with 967 points. Poljak (36) picked up his second PPMS Pro Stock win of the season last Saturday. His first win came back in May on opening night. Nick Kocuba (10), from Bulger, is in fourth place with 776 and Dave McManus (114) rounds out the top five in PPMS Pro Stock points with 762 points. 

Stephen Shelpman (17S), from Pleasant Hills, amassed his sixth win of the season last Saturday, in the Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stock division. Currently, with 1,419 points, S. Shelpman (17S) has been in first place for most of the season. Marcus Simmions (68X), from Beaver Falls, is sitting in second place with 1,365 points. Simmons (68X) is only in his second season racing a Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stock. Rookie driver Frank Magill (05), from Jefferson Hills, has been having an impressive season so far. F. Magill (05) is in third place with 1,318 points. F. Magill (05), picked up his first career Hobby Stock victory a few weeks ago. Karlee Kovacs (221K), from Carnegie, is sitting in fourth place with 1,312 points, while Ed. Shelpman (17P), from Pleasant Hills, rounds out the top five with 1,306 Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stock points. 

Heading into last Saturday night, Andy Garlinger (R88), from Hopedale, Ohio, had won every single four-cylinder feature this season. Garlinger (R88) wasn’t able to attend the races last week due to prior obligations, which ended his winning streak to Philip Bubeck (2L). Garlinger (R88) is still in first place in the points race with a 445 point lead over the field. Garlinger (R88) is en route to his second consecutive Four-Cylinder track championship with 1,310 points. John Gill (19G), from Burgettstown, is in second place with 865 points, while rookie driver Tanya Charlier (21), from Midway, is in third place with 806 points. Craig Rudolph (5R), from Steubenville, Ohio, is in fourth place with 775 points, and Jason Romine (71) rounds out the top five with 516 points.

In the Young Guns division, Susie Rudolph (55), from Steubenville, Ohio, found herself back in victory lane last week after being disqualified the week prior, which ended an impressive winning streak by the young lady. S. Rudolph (55) sits atop the leaderboard with 1,384 points. Kyle Janas (88), from Coraopolis, is only 32 points behind S. Rudolph (55) and is sitting in second place. Tony Magill (05), from Jefferson Hills, is in the mix as well. T. Magill (05) is currently in third place with 1,341 points, which is only 11 points out of first place and only 41 points out of first place. Cameron Hollister (44), from McDonald, is currently in fourth place with 891 points, while Cameron Lambert (223), from Mars, completes the top five with 691 points. 

With the season winding down and the points race heating up, you don’t want to miss any of the action at Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile. There are only two points races left in the season before the finale on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5 with the 31st Annual Pittsburgher 100 for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, paying $20,000 to win. Friday, October 4 will see the qualifying events for all divisions except for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
