FRUSTRATION CONTINUES, PPMS CANCELLED AGAIN JUNE 6

The PA Department of Health still has not reviewed our COVID-19 Safety Plan to operate Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. We have contacted them daily since the submission of the plan. Hopefully approval is coming soon and we can give open practice a go next Saturday June 13 with Pit gates opening at 1PM, practice 3-6PM.

Here’s what we are up against as Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway is classified as professional sports. We sent our COVID-19 Safety Plan to Governor Wolfs office May 6th. Early last week we were advised to send the plan to the PA HEALTH DEPARTMENT for approval. The Executive Director has received it and they said they are processing it. Tuesday afternoon June 2, they told us, “a few days”. Miley Motor Sports contacts them every day by email or phone. Please ask your state representatives to support Re-opening of racing. We did, in the PPMS community and our home towns. That’s where we are at.
