Join us at Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile this Saturday, June 18, 2022, when the fastest cars on dirt come to PPMS for Falconi’s Automotive 410 Outlaw Winged Sprint Car Series. The 410 Winged Sprint Cars often reach speeds of 150 mph at the Monster Half-Mile. George Hobaugh (40) took home the win when the 410 Winged Sprints were in town earlier this season. PPMS will also be featuring the RUSH Dirt Late Model Series, the Penn Ohio Pro Stocks, the Cheplic Packing Hobby Stock Series, the Crawford Auto Repair Four-Cylinders, and the All Ways Safe Young Guns. *** MAKE UP FEATURES for the Pro Stocks and the Open Four-Cylinders. Top Five In Points For Our Regular Five Divisions
The points race in each division is starting to heat up for the 2022 season. The Rohrich RUSH Dirt Late Model Series has had six different winners so far this season. Last week's winner, Phillip Bubeck (4), from Colliers, West Virginia, is sitting in first place with 452 points. However, Cole Petrelle (84), from Follansbee, West Virginia, is just two points behind the leader with 450 points. Kassidy Kamicker (72B) is in third with 427 points, while Mike Reft (9R), from Pittsburgh, is in fourth with 373 points, and Tom Klein (77), from Rochester, rounds out the top five with 352 points.
The Penn Ohio Pro Stocks have completed five races so far this season as they were rained out on May 21, and that makeup feature is this coming Saturday. The Pro Stocks have had three different winners with Brian Huchko (60H), from Coraopolis, sitting in the top spot with 425 points. AJ Poljak (36), from Baldwin, is only two points out of first place with 423 points. Valencia’s Heath Close (77H) is in third place with 410 points, while Nick Kocuba (10), from Burgettstown, is in fourth with 401 points, and Tanya Charlier (21), from Midway, is holding down the fifth spot with 331 points.
The Cheplic Packing Hobby Stocks have had five different winners on six attempts for the 2022 campaign. Tony Magill (5), from Jefferson Hills, has 477 points and is sitting in first place. Matt Benard (15), from Oakdale, has one win on the season and is in second place with 473 points, only four points out of first. Frank Magill (05), from Jefferson Hills, is in third with 468 points, while Jonathan Koteles (2K), from Stockdale, is in fourth with 464 points, and June 4 winner, Logan Koteles (64K), from Stockdale, is in fifth with 461 points. Only 16 points separate the top five in the Cheplic Packing Hobby Stock division.
The Crawford Auto Repair Four-Cylinders have a makeup feature this coming Saturday and on five attempts have five different winners. Craig Rudolph (5R), from Steubenville, Ohio, is sitting atop the division with 366 points. Derek Quigley (65Q), from Roscoe, is in second place with 303 points. Susie Rudolph (55), from Steubenville, Ohio, has 299 points and is holding down the third spot, while Lucas Weaver (11W), from California, PA, is in fourth with 194 points and has one with on the season, and John Steele (33), from North Fayette, is in fifth with 173 points.
The Always Safe Flagging and Traffic Control Young Guns have completed six races with two different winners this season. Travis Clark (05T), from Pittsburgh, has four feature wins and is sitting in first place with 412 points. Emmerson Laboon (114), from Elizabeth, has two feature wins and she is in second place with 402 points, which is just 10 points out of first place. Zoey Knight (78Z), from Plum, is in third with 385 points, while Gavin Kokolis (91), from Oakdale, is in fourth place with 318 points, and Abby Gindlesperger (05), from Jefferson Hills, is in fifth place with 303 points
