Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway

Full Write Up Results For 7.6.24

You won't believe what happened at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway this past Saturday night! PPMS would see eight heat races, a sweet driver autograph session, and five feature events. Daryl Charlier (42), from Midway, would win the Rohrich Automotive/Chevy Performance RUSH Late Model feature while Christian Schneider (17S), from Pittsburgh, got another win in the Pittsburgh Trucking Center Penn Ohio Pro Stock feature. Stephen Shelpman (25R), from Pleasant Hills, picked up another win in the Fuel Required Hobby Stock feature while Jacob Chipps (38C), from New Cumberland, West Virginia, made it back to back wins in the Crawford Auto Repair Open Four Cylinder feature, and Hunter Vohn (124), from Industry, got his first career win for the All Ways Safe Flagging And Traffic Control Young Guns.

Kassidy Kamicker (72B), from Aliquippa, would start on the pole in the 20-lap Rohrich Automotive/Chevy Performance RUSH Late Model feature with Charlier (42) to her outside and starting second. At the start of the event, Charlier (42) would take the early lead but a lap six caution would slow the pace and rerack the field. Charlier (42) would retain his lead when green replaced yellow. Despite two more caution flags, Charlier (42) would lead the remaining laps in the event and go on to pick up the win. He was followed by Cole Petrelle (184) in second, Brandon Burgoon (60) third, Ben Policz (14B) fourth, and Tom Klein (77) rounded out the top five. The heat race winners were Policz (14B) and Kamicker (72B).

In the Pittsburgh Trucking Center Penn Ohio Pro Stock 15-lap feature, Brett McDonald (25) would start on the pole. Starting to his outside was Dale Tuche (310). When the green flag dropped, McDonald (25) would take the early lead and lead through lap five. However, Tony Magill (M5) would take over the lead on lap five. The event’s only caution would come on lap 11 and T. Magill (M5) would lead the single foul restart. It appeared that T. Magill (M5) was about to get his first career Pro Stock win but he was forced to enter the pits with one lap to go which allowed Schneider (17S) to come in and steal the win. He was followed by McDonald (25) in second, Chris Schneider (55) in third, AJ Poljak (36) in fourth, and Nick Kocuba (10) completed the top five. The heat race winners were Christian Schneider (17S) and AJ Poljak (36).

Garrett O’Patchen (25) and Stephen Shelpman (25R) would start one and two respectively in the Fuel Required Hobby Stock 15-lap feature. When the green flag waved, Shelpman (25R) would pull away with the early lead and he was still leading at the halfway point in the event. The event’s first and only caution would come on lap 14 which would require a two-lap shootout. Shelpman (25R) would lead the single-foul restart with Logan Koteles (64K) in tow. Shelpman (25R) would have an impressive restart and go on to win the event. He was followed by L. Koteles (64k) in second, O’Patchen (25) in third, Tom Anton (64) in fourth, and Marc Corio (14) would round out the top five. The heat race winners were Corio (14) and Shelpman (25R).

In the Crawford Auto Repair Open Four Cylinder 10-lap feature, Joe Campbell (40C), would start on the pole. Starting to his outside and in second was Cameron Hollister (44). At the start of the event, Campbell (40C) would take the early lead. However, the event’s first caution would come on lap one with Campbell (40C) leading the single-foul restart with Chipps (38C) in tow. When green replaced yellow, Chipps (38C) would take over the lead eventually and Gill (19G) would take over second. Chipps (38C) would lead the remaining laps in the event and go on to get his second win in a row. He was followed by Gill (19G) in second, Campbell (40C) in third, Ray Seibert (4) in fourth, and Ben Garigilio (83) would round out the top five. The heat race winner was Chipps (38C).

The All Ways Safe Flagging And Traffic Control Young Guns six lap feature had Hunter Vohn (124) starting on the pole. To his outside and starting in second was Zoey Knight (78Z). The second row had Gavin Kokolis (91) starting third, and Anthony Uddstrom (18) rounds out the four car field. At the start of the event, Vohn (124) would take the early lead. Vohn (124) would lead all six laps in the event and go on to pick up his first career All Ways Safe Flagging & Traffic Control Young Guns win. He was followed to the line by Uddstrom (18) in second, Kokolis (91) in third, and Knight (78Z) rounded out the four-car field. The heat race winner was Uddstrom (18).
